Maple Candied Apples Recipe

Here’s a Halloween sweet treat that uses no dyes, no flavorings, and nothing artificial –  it’s the ultimate crowd-pleaser – it’s Maple Candied Apples! 

It doesn’t get much easier than this – you just need to stick, dip and roll and you’re ready to go!

Here’s What You’ll Need

– 6 – 8 apples

– 2 cups maple sugar or coconut palm sugar

– 1 cup dark maple syrup or coconut nectar

– 1 cup soft apple cider

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Wash and dry the apples and remove the stems.
  2. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and rub it well with coconut oil.
  3. Whisk the sugars together with the cider in a saucepan over medium heat until combined.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil and continue to boil until mixture reaches 255 – 260 F.
  5. Turn off the heat and angle the pan so the candy coating pools to one side.
  6. Dip one apple at a time in the coating, swirl the apple to entirely coat.
  7. Transfer apples to the wax paper and allow them to harden and cool, approximately 5 minutes.
