These easy-to-make Magnesium Rich Truffle Balls are packed full of Tryptophan, an amino acid that is responsible for producing mood-boosting serotonin.

Magnesium Rich Truffles Recipe

Here’s What You’ll Need

3/4 cup dates, pitted

1 tbsp coconut oil

2 tbsp water

1/4 cup cacao powder

3/4 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 tbsp almond butter

1/8 tsp sea salt

1/2 – 3/4 cup almond flour

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Using a food processor with S-blade, add dates, water and coconut oil first and process until a paste forms.
  2. Add cacao powder, vanilla, butter, salt to process and combine.
  3. Add almond flour in small increments until a large ball forms inside of the processor. Scrape down the sides as needed. Watching for a sticky energy-bite consistency.
  4. Scoop out about 1 tbsp at a time and roll bite sized balls in between the palms. Option to roll the balls in fine cacao powder.
  5. Transfer to a parchment lined container and refrigerate.

 

Makes approx. 16 truffles

Add some cacao powder and refrigerate when you’re done.
