Hibiscus "Margarita" Lime Mocktail

Today is the day to make the ultimate refreshing healthy mocktail that is made from simple and nutritious herbal ingredients only! 

One glass is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. 

It is tart, perfectly sweet, floral, cold, refreshing, boozy, and so delicious!

Here’s What You’ll Need

To brew the hibiscus tea:

– 3 cups, purified/filtered water

– 3/4 cup, dried hibiscus flowers

– 1/4 cup, liquid sweetener of choice (optional)

To Make the Margaritas (makes 2)

Ingredients:

– 1/2 cup, hibiscus concentrate

– 5 – 6 ice cubes

– 1 large lime

– 2 oz sparkling water or kombucha

– 1 1/2 tbsp agave

DIRECTIONS FOR THE HIBISCUS TEA:

  1. Bring the 3 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the tea and stir. Remove from heat and allow 30 minutes to steep.
  3. Strain into a glass jar and once a bit cooler, add sweetener of choice to taste.

DIRECTIONS FOR THE MARGARITAS:

  1. Once concentrate is cooled, add ice cubes, concentrate, lime juice, liquid sweetener and sparkling water to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Shake vigorously to combine.
  3. Pour over 2 glasses with additional ice. 
  4. Have fun by sugaring or salting the rims of the glasses in advance if desired.
  5. Garnish glasses with a lime wedge.
  6. Save the hibiscus concentrate in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
