Nori Wraps with Almond Chili Cream Recipe

If you love sushi, these easy nori wraps are for you. They taste amazing, are super easy to make & are a GREAT snack or light lunch. 

As an added bonus, for those who want to keep their thyroid in check, nori nutrients are full of calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, zinc, and iodine which is especially important for thyroid health. 

Here’s What You’ll Need

Chili Almond Cream:

2 oz tamari

2 oz fresh lime juice

1/2 cup almond butter

1/2 cup cashews, soaked

1/2 tsp chili flake

1 tbsp ginger, grated

1 1/2 tbsp agave or coconut nectar

1 tsp sesame oil

Blend all ingredients on high until fully incorporated. Add purified water as needed 1 tbsp at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Grain:

Prepare a grain of choice; quinoa, brown rice, sorghum, buckwheat etc.

Nori:

Nori Sheets

Julienne vegetables of choice (examples include red and yellow pepper, carrot, cucumber, avocado)

Radish, mandolin

Purple cabbage, fine shred

Shiitake mushroom

Microgreens

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Prepare grain of choice and all of the raw vegetables
  2. Add grain to the nori sheet first followed by a row of raw vegetables and microgreens. Roll the nori sheet and seal the edge with a bit of purified water.
  3. Enjoy the nori roll with the almond chili cream

Depending on your appetite, you could certainly make more additional toppings into the mix if you like.
